The new as seen on the Chef Basket is a piece of cookware that is taking America by storm. You can use it as a strainer or a colander or a deep fry basket. To make a batch of pasta all you have to do is fill the basket with your pasta and submerge it in a pot of boiling water. It is a real space saver the way it folds flat. It can then be stored at the bottom of a cupboard, next to your cookie sheets, or just about anywhere.

It is a very easy product to use. All you have to do is fill the basket with your food and submerge it into either hot oil if you are deep frying something, or boiling water if you are boiling something. Use the stay-cool handles to remove your food from the pot when its done, then dangle it over the sink or other container to drain off the excess liquid.

There is no need to wrestle with a huge pot of hot boiling water any more. Wandering around the kitchen with a heavy pot of boiling water is a serious hazard especially if you have a kitchen full of children of dinner guests.

These things are available online for around and it is money well spent. If you cook at home as much as I do then you will be using yours at least several times a week. It is an indispensible item in my kitchen now. Care for yours the right way and you will be rewarded with many years of great service from this item. Just use a soft brush and a little soap and hot water for a quick and easy cleanup job.

Although I don’t believe it’s necessary, they do include a little recipe book along with it. Any recipe that calls for boiling, steaming or deep frying and you can reach for this to take care of the job. With the volume of recipes available online there is really no need for cookbooks or recipe guides anymore.

My Mother uses hers to deep fry her famous fried chicken as well as her secret recipe spaghetti and lasagna. In Texas where she is from they deep fry everything from chicken to snickers! A healthier meal can be made without deep frying, but it is nice to know you can have it both ways sometimes. You can use it for any of your favorite family recipes.
