mini pecan tarts (adapted from a paula deen recipe)

crust:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups all purpose flour

cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. incorporate egg, then flour.

pinch off a ball of dough and place into each mini-tart pan. form crust around sides with your fingers, the thinner the better, but be careful not to have any holes or tears. set aside.

filling:
2 tbsps butter, softened
1 1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

a LOT of chopped nuts (about 2-2 1/2 cups)

cream butter and sugar together, until light and fluffy. incorporate eggs, and vanilla and salt.

fill uncooked crusts halfway with chopped nuts. using a squeezy bottle, fill to top with the butter/sugar mix. sprinkle more nuts on top. bake in 325˚F preheated oven for 20 minutes until lightly golden.

makes 48 mini tarts.

You can make meatloaf with ground beef or ground turkey. Ground turkey is a healthier, lowfat substitute to ground beef. Meatloaf is also a terrific way to use ground meat you pick up on sale.

Several meatloaves can be designed at one particular time. You can freeze them both ahead of or soon after they are baked. To bake a frozen, uncooked meatloaf, bake at 350 degrees for close to 1 1/2 hours (do not thaw out initial). To bake a frozen, cooked meatloaf, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Awesome fully in advance of freezing.

Standard Meatloaf Recipe

one 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
three slices bread
1 significant egg
one c. milk
1/four c. onion, chopped
one tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
one/4 tsp. pepper
1/four tsp. sage
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
one/2 c. catsup OR barbeque sauce OR chili sauce
one tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all the substances other than the catsup with each other. Spread the meat combination into an ungreased loaf pan, 9 x five x three-inches or shape into a loaf in an ungreased baking pan. Spoon catsup onto the loaf and bake, uncovered, for one to 1 1/four hours or until finally accomplished. Drain off the excess weight and serve sliced on a heated platter.

Olive Meatloaf

2 lbs. lean ground beef
one c. chopped onions
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 bacon slices, halved
1/four tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. every: basil, oregano and salt
1 can (six oz.) pitted black olives, drained
one can (eight oz.) tomato sauce

In massive bowl, mix all components other than olives, tomato sauce and bacon. Blend in olives, reserving 5 for garnish. In a 9×12-inch baking pan, form combination into a 4×12-inch rounded loaf. Pour tomato sauce around loaf. Lay bacon slices across loaf. Bake in 350 diploma oven one hour and 15 minutes. Garnish with reserved olives.

Turkey Meatloaf

two lbs. ground turkey
1 env. Lipton onion soup combine
1/4 c. ketchup
one/two c. bread crumbs
4 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
one/two c. ketchup

Mix first four ingredients. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Divide the meat loaf in fifty percent. Spot half in the pan and put grated mozzarella cheese on best of the combination. Spot the relaxation of mixture on major of cheese and seal edges. Spread 1/two cup ketchup around the prime. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or right until carried out.

Italian Style Meatloaf

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 can cream of mushroom soup
one one/2 c. bread or cracker crumbs
1 one/2 c.
