My passion for food began more than twenty years ago when I was a secondary school student. I remembered during my home economics classes, I baked my first rock bun, fried my first french toast and did my project on food. I found cooking very interesting and immensely satisfying. I started collecting every food articles that I could lay my hands on. I cut out food articles on newspapers, magazines on food reviews, restaurants’ menus, recipes, eating and drinking columns. I would paste them on my scrapbooks or file them in ring files, reading them over and over again. Whenever I fill lack of appetite before meals, I can just read some of these articles and I will feel hungry in no time. These articles surely whip up my appetite.

I had left my last job early this year, therefore I had the time to read these files and scrapbooks once again. I think I can share this information on food with anybody who is interested in food too. So I started a blog recently, the content will be all on food and food related information. I will cover all food related topics such as food and beverages, cooking tips, home cooked meals, food recipes, health and nutrition, from the simplest drinking water to baking delicious strawberry cakes.

Everybody needs to eat and drink regardless of the economic condition. Eating is a very basic essence of life. But the pleasure that we derived from good food is why we live to eat and not eat to live. Consuming nutritious and healthy food is vital to maintaining good health. Hence it is important to have a balance diet that gives us all the necessary nutrients we need to remain healthy and active.
