Raw food has been known to be able to boost immune systems making people more resistant to disease; it has been known to induce weight loss and has also been known to prevent the onset of many major illnesses in the western world today.
People who eat raw foods have been known to live longer than people who live on cooked foods. Many studies have been done over many years which track people who eat raw foods and those who eat predominantly cooked foods. They showed that the people who eat raw foods were much less likely to suffer from serious illness and as a result live for up to 10 years more than the people who did not eat raw food most of the time. This is 7 years more than the largest economy in the world, the United States which has a life expectancy of about 78 years.
One of the most widely known benefits of raw food is the nutritional aspect. Nutrients are abundant in raw foods, more so than cooked foods. The reason is obvious; when foods are cooked many of the nutrients present are destroyed in the process. When food is not cooked the nutrients remain intact and the result is raw foods have more vitamins which boost the immune system. The result is that people who eat raw foods hardly ever fall sick to diseases such as the flu and the common cold. They are also 75% less likely to develop cancer and they are also 80% less likely to develop heart disease as many raw foods do not have cholesterol in them.
Raw foods have also been known to induce weight loss. This is because raw foods do not contain an excessive amount of calories such as many processed foods. The result is that someone who is exclusively on a raw food diet can never get fat from it because all of the calories that he or she consumes will be cancelled out when the food is being digested. Switching to raw food is a great way to induce weight loss and make sure that you do not sabotage yourself and the best thing about it is that you won’t have to worry about depriving yourself.
There are many raw food recipes available online for people who wish to lose weight or live longer lives. Making the decision to at least incorporate some raw food to your diet may be the best decision you can ever make in your life.
