But did you know that you can actually make them eat those healthy vegetables without taking away from them their usual favorite treats? That’s right! Let me share with a simple vegan donut recipe.

1 package. active dry yeast

11/2 cup lukewarm water,separated

1/8 cup vegetable shortening

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup soy milk, warmed

Egg replacer, equivalent to 3 eggs

5 cups flour, plus more for flouring

A pinch of salt

1 1/2 tsp. mace

Oil for deep frying

1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

1 cup hot water

Dissolve yeast in 1 / 2 cups warm water and let it stand for 5 minutes. In a saucepan, bring remaining 1 / 2 cup warm water to a boil. Add the reduction of plant and sugar and stir until they dissolve. Pour the mixture into a bowl and allow to cool. Add yeast mixture and soy milk. Mix in egg substitute, 2 cups flour, salt, and mace.
